Our Liturgical Ministries play an important role in making our Liturgical Services more meaningful. Various teams work behind the scenes in planning, preparing, and organising every day, weekly and special masses. Each team commits their time to serve the Church and initiates the process of evangelisation for every parishioner.
CURRENT Liturgical Ministries
Ministers of the Word
Proclaim the Word of God at Mass (readings, prayers etc.)
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Assist with the distribution of Communion at Mass and minister to the sick and elderly in hospitals, homes and Residential Care.
Musicians and Choirs
Provide liturgical music for parish Masses to enhance our celebrations
Welcomers
Greet people and make them feel very welcome in our community
Children’s Liturgy of the Word
Children leave the congregation to celebrate and reflect on the Sunday Gospel reading in an age appropriate way
Sacristans
Responsible for the setting up for our Masses and other celebrations such as baptisms, weddings and funerals
Altar Servers
Assist on the altar during Mass and other celebrations
Liturgy Committee
Involved in the planning and preparation of celebrations on the parish liturgical calendar.
Altar Society
Maintain the items needed for our ceremonies and ensure the proper set up of the sanctuary for liturgies throughout the year
Roster and Mass Coordinators
Co-ordinate rosters for all Ministries for our weekend Masses
Parish Community Groups
